Oh! Teach us to live right
teach us to live wisely and well
teach us to live wisely and well
(Psalm 90:12)
The
summit of worship is expressed in a life well lived. Days numbered in
Joy, Hope, Faith and Love. The worshiper journeys with a defined course
in obedience and service to the creator's decree. To every promise is a
premise, to every action an intention; every creature, a purpose. So,
consider the sweetness from the fruits of the tree, see that it
satisfies the creator's creative ability, the resourcefulness of the
palm tree teaches about the creator's dexterity and fruitfulness, and we
can go on to unravel the purpose for the each creature, but as for the
worshiper; he is to replicate Heaven on Earth. This year, we have been
called into the apostolic, and commission as apostle in various spheres.
The worshipers will be at the front-line.
"Teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom"
Numeration is to a child arithmetic exercise, but to the mature an act
thought by the Holy Spirit. Numbering one's days is not counting how
many days we have lived or to predict how many days we have left; but as
the NLT translates, realizing the brevity of life. Knowing that we only
have so many days on this earth, and therefore we want to “seize the
day,” living each day to the fullest. To do this, we must be given to
prayer. Prayer for guidance and direction, prayer to restore and
replenish. A prayerless soul is a Christless soul. A prayerless soul has
lost touch with divinity. Prayer is the lisping of the believing
infant, the shout of the fighting believer, the requiem of the dying
saint. It is the breath, the watchword, the comfort, the strength, the
honor of a worshiper.
